Virtual reality, augmented reality and wearables are framing the future for the theme park industry.

Picsolve, the pioneers of digital image capture for the leisure and entertainment industry, has launched its new ‘Theme Park of the Future’ vision report at the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2016. The report reveals how evolving technology is impacting visitor demand and highlights the specific areas of growth for the theme park and attractions industry over the next ten years.

With research of 500 UAE theme park guests, the report highlights the technology guests feel would alter their overall experience, with a particular focus on integrating virtual reality (VR), wearables and augmented reality (AR) in theme parks and attractions worldwide. The findings reveal how the majority of guests (87%) are more likely to visit a theme park if it includes VR, emphasising how innovative technology could have a direct impact on increased visitor numbers and overall guest satisfaction.

Theme Park of the Future includes future predictions from Picsolve and its partner Dubai Parks and Resorts.
