Picsolve, the leading photo and video capture partner for world-class visitor destinations, is celebrating the first birthday of its Global Academy for learning and development with over 1,643 Picsolve Employees reached by academy programmes so far.
Picsolve’s Global Academy looks after all elements of learning and development within Picsolve, helping employees around the globe reach their full potential through dedicated, interactive learning programmes.
Since its launch in October 2018, Picsolve’s Global Academy has seen rapid growth in the reach of all of its programmes following new initiatives such as webinar delivery and a Global Learning Hub. Global Academy programmes are open to all Picsolve employees globally and include a range of different levels and courses for staff.
Giving retail staff the skills they need to succeed
ENJOY and ENABLE programmes, which are designed to give individuals the skills, knowledge and confidence to become more effective at engaging with visitors and achieving sales, have now seen over 1,000 employees undertaking the course as their first step of career development within Picsolve.
The newest programme which focuses on capture skills and quality with walkabout, green screen and Epic Selfie capture products has already trained 500+ employees and has seen fantastic feedback including a 75% increase in guests purchasing their photos.
We incorporated some walkabout photography training and used the resources on the GAP Hub. We struggle with capture and the approaching of guests, so we did a capture session before we did the ENJOY session. Since then we have seen a big spike in captures on CPU, especially on entrance photography.
Designed to give our employees the confidence and skills they need in order to do the best in their roles, in the past year Global Academy Picsolve has supported 6 new site openings, training retail assistants, team leaders and managers at these sites to have the skills they need to succeed.
Creating the leaders of the future
The exclusive Future Leaders programme, which creates confident skilled managers, has also been a hit with staff in the UK and Europe, with various office and site-based staff from all levels taking part. The programme was designed alongside Picsolve’s senior managers and site staff to cover the key skills identified as crucial for Future Leaders of the business.
Through the development of our unique and innovative Future Leaders programme, we have a fantastic team who are building our talent bench strength for future growth across Picsolve, as well as supporting transformation projects across the sites and teams they are operating in.
The relationship with our site partner has vastly improved as I can now communicate more effectively with them and manage the relationship I have with them more effectively.
Kalina Tomova, Cluster Manager, Berlin
All learners on the current Future Leaders intake are on track to complete apprenticeships by 2020, demonstrating a significant progression of skills, knowledge and behaviours from the beginning of their programmes. Over half of the current intake have also been promoted to the next management level, studying for the highly regarded Chartered Management Institute Level 3 Diploma in Management.
The Global Academy continues to grow, with exciting new developments in the pipeline for the coming months. Our employees are at the heart of the great service we provide for our partners and their guests and we recognise the crucial role they will play in leading the transformation of our industry.
